Abstract
The Population Council has been working in the state of Uttar Pradesh, India to rigorously evaluate whether and how a broad range of interventions through self-help groups can lead to positive behavior change and access to services in reproductive, maternal, newborn, and child health and nutrition. This data set includes findings from a quasi-experimental study conducted in 2017 that capture the effect of integrating health and nutrition messaging into empowerment pathways among women who are members of self-help groups and who have a child under the age of one.
